PreK - Grade 1 Workshops with Carmen Bryant and Roberta Rovtar
Carmen Bryant and Roberta Rovtar have been teaching early literacy for a combined 55 years. They hold bachelors degrees from Simon Fraser University, and Roberta has a Post Baccalaureate Diploma. They have been combining music and literacy in their classrooms and found it to be an effective learning tool in teaching ESL and kindergarten/year one programs. The program is rich in songs, movement, poetry, dance, and art to engage all learning styles. Carmen and Roberta have presented workshops at the California Kindergarten Conference, the Southern California Kindergarten Conference, Alberta Early Chilhood Convention and at workshops and PD Days throughout Alberta and BC.
